The purpose of products is to solve problems. The composite pallet block is a product which has solved two large problems – the shortage of wooden pallet blocks and air pollution caused by burning sawdust.
Basic dimensions:
100 x 145 x 78 mm
145 x 145 x 78 mm
The dimensions of the composite blocks can vary as much as the requirements of the transport and packaging industry vary. A special production process makes our composite block uniquely flexible. More than 50 years of experience in this industry enable us to respond to any challenge individually and with precision, without compromising on quality and sustainability.
The composite pallet block produced in our factory is very durable. It is a high-density, biodegradable and environment-friendly domestic product which complies with the ISPM 15 standard.
he first composite pallet block or particle board block was created not so long ago, more precisely, in 1970. To reiterate the fact that products exist to solve problems, the wood / packaging industry was facing the problem of demand for wooden cubes used in the production of pallets. This was a problem because at the time, wood was a cheap raw material, but not available in sufficient quantities. On the other hand, there were huge dumps of sawdust, which were either poorly disposed of or burned. From today’s perspective, it seems like a minor problem, but in those years, which are otherwise known for the industry boom, this problem was becoming increasingly common.
It was precisely in 1970, that a resourceful German entrepreneur envisioned how to use vast amounts of wood “waste”, thus resolving the issue of how to supply the market with wooden pallets.
Nothing goes to waste.
Nothing goes to waste in our factory. We use sawdust, a waste material from the sawmill, as a raw material for the production of composite blocks, which we then use for pallet manufacturing.
By introducing the technology of composite block production, we have managed to minimize the costs of waste management and turn them into profit.
We do not use water in our production cycle.
This is an important contribution to environmental protection and energy saving. Moreover, many waste management solutions require a large amount of water during the process.
We do not use water in the composite block production process, because we simply cut, grind and press wood waste into semi-finished materials, i.e. into a product that we further use in the wooden pallet production process.
This facility has recently been put into function. The composite block quantity currently meets the factory’s needs for making pallets, while a part of the composite blocks is sold abroad. Visa-Prom is the only company on the domestic market which manufactures this product. The composite pallet block manufactured in our factory is very durable. It is a high-density, biodegradable and environment-friendly domestic product which complies with the ISPM 15 standard.
Compliance with the ISPM 15 standard is the most important requirement for unrestricted use of load carriers in the international trade of goods. EPAL wooden load carriers are manufactured and repaired in accordance with the strict IPPC (International Plant Protection Convention) standard and can therefore be used abroad.
Starting from 01.01.2010, all newly manufactured EPAL Euro pallets undergo thermal treatment in line with the ISPM 15.
EPAL Euro pallets treated in accordance with the ISPM 15 can be identified by the markings on both central blocks on the long sides.
The IPPC standard guarantees that mold, microorganisms or insects are not transferred abroad in transport packaging.
Almost all our pallets have been processed in accordance with the IPPC ISPM 15 standard. The treatment is purely thermal, without the use of chemicals.
The treatment of EPAL Euro pallets using methyl bromide (MB) is prohibited.
